Chick and Cock (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website chickandcock.com (the “Site”) and sells print-on-demand merchandise through the Site. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

1.1 Information we collect

Order information: name, shipping address, billing address, email, phone number (optional), items ordered, order total.
Account information (if you create one): email, password (stored hashed), order history.
Payment information: processed directly by our payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal, and other checkout providers). We do not store or have access to full payment card numbers.
Communications: the content of emails you send us, including support requests and reviews.
Site usage: pages visited, referring source, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and interactions with our marketing (email opens, ad clicks). Collected via cookies, pixels, and analytics tools.

1.2 How we use it

Process and fulfill your order (shared with our print-on-demand fulfillment partner Printify and the shipping carriers required to deliver your package).
Send you order confirmations, shipping updates, delivery notifications, and support responses.
Send occasional marketing emails and SMS if you opt in. You can unsubscribe from any marketing message at any time.
Personalize your Site experience and improve our products and marketing.
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
Comply with legal obligations (tax reporting, subpoenas, court orders).

We share personal information only with:

Service providers we need to run the business: Shopify (e-commerce platform), Printify (POD fulfillment), payment processors, shipping carriers, email/SMS platforms, analytics and advertising vendors (Meta, TikTok, Google).
Legal disclosures: when required by law, subpoena, or court order.
Business transfers: if we are acquired or merged, personal information may transfer to the acquiring entity.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some analytics and advertising cookies described in §1.5 involve “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You can opt out — see §1.7.

1.4 Retention

We keep order records for 7 years to comply with US tax and business record-keeping law. Marketing preferences and email-list membership are retained until you unsubscribe. Support conversations are retained for 3 years. Analytics data is retained per our analytics providers’ default windows (typically 14–26 months).

1.5 Cookies and tracking

We use three categories of cookies and similar technologies:

Strictly necessary: cart persistence, checkout, login, fraud prevention. These cannot be disabled.
Analytics: understand how visitors use the Site (Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, and similar). Aggregate and pseudonymized.
Advertising: measure ad performance and show relevant ads on Meta, TikTok, Google, and other networks (Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads tag).

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or through the cookie preferences link in our Site footer.

If you are in the EU, UK, EEA, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
Object to or restrict certain processing
Data portability (receive your data in a portable format)
Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

1.7 Your rights (California residents)

If you are a California resident, under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to:

Know what personal information we have collected about you
Delete personal information (subject to exceptions)
Correct inaccurate personal information
Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising

1.8 Children under 13

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, email hello@chickandcock.com and we will remove it.

1.9 International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you order from outside the US, your information will be processed in the US and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have different privacy laws than your home country. By ordering, you consent to this transfer.

1.10 Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including TLS encryption for data in transit and access controls on data at rest. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

1.11 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced on the Site or by email.
